Oedipus the world power is the perfect example of a tragedy. It contains a complete combination of all the features of a tragedy. King Oedipus is the central protagonist and within his character lays a sad flaw. He is unintentionally the architect of his own the haste and the good dealfall of the lay of Thebes. Thos find has several themes, but the most fire is how the irony of sight and blindness categorizes the entre play .The expression in the irony of the blind man having knowledge of the justice more or less the land and Oedipus ignorance in believing Teiresas or grasping the law with his sight suggests that the ideal knowledge of seeing in the play is not related to the physical abilities.
Oedipus, who is gifted with sight, is blind to the righteousness about his true self. As he digs down to trace the sea wolf of the last king of Thebes, he notice an unexpected twist; as he began connecting the dots, and at the end, the truth was revealed.
To go back a little, the famous seer named Teiresas is the lands seer. He sees the present, the past and the future. Even though he is physically blind, he tells Oedipus that he blind and cannot see the truth that lies in seem of him. He prophesized that Oedipus is the curse and he need to be by for there to be peace and harmony in the land of Thebes. Ignorant as he is, he accused the seer and claims he is collaborating with Creon to take over the kingdom.
