On one side, usually filled with the throng of the older generation, they did not like how America changed to be industrialized. One reason pile didnt like the change was because they felt as though theyd be fine living the same as they always have, on their farms. Another reason people didnt like the change was because not everyone got the same opportunities. People who were enured as equals were women, African Americans, Native Americans, the poor, and baby birdren. This is shows through I personate and Look Out, by Walt Whitman. This piece of writing tells how not everyone got he same job opportunities because with industrialization comes labor laws and some of the laws can be unfair and discrimatory. Also it tells about how harsh child labor was because there were no standards set yet. at that placefore, one call for of thinking is that some people dont like how America changed to be industrialized.
On the other side, people love the change. They felt as though the change would allow them to nonplus more money. Instead of doing hard labor, they had machine to do the work for them.
People felt like they had more nationalism because everyone worked to spring upher. There were also a variety of different jobs people could demand from. People finally felt as though they were fit to achieve the American Dream. Walt Whitman shows this point of view in Mannahtta. It describes the city with lots of positives like, perfect, self-sufficient, and musical. It talks about how people love the new America because the excitement in the city.
