In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo over reacted on many seperate occasions. Friar Lawrence- present from Verona art thou banished. Be patient, for the world is broad and wide. Romeo- there is no world without Verona walls But purgatory, torture, hell itself, Hence banished is banished from the world.
In this scene, Romeo metaphorically comapares being banished from Verona, Italy as being banished from the world. In addition, he states that he would rather die than being banished from Verona. Evidently, Romeo over reacts and uses the metaphor to exemplify the importance of his exile from Verona, Italy and is not grateful for being alive and walking. In addition, Romeo states that he would rather be killed, instead, Romeo should be thankful he is still breathing and over reacts his position. Romeos over reacting lets us to assume that Romeo is a very dependant man since he would rather die than be banished which signifies his live cannot be continued without his loved ones.
